Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of rheumatology nurses and nurse practitioners. Other healthcare providers may also participate.
Learning Objectives and Goals:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the pathophysiology, signs, and symptoms of fibrotic interstitial lung diseases (ILDs)
- Identify diagnostic tools that may be used to assess and monitor patients at risk for the development of fibrotic ILDs
- Differentiate the clinical viability of specific pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions that have been studied for the management of patients with fibrotic ILDs
- Select appropriate questions to ask patients diagnosed with fibrotic ILDs to uncover quality of life issues
Accreditation Statement
Participants will receive 1.5 hours of continuing nursing contact hours, including 0.5 pharmacotherapeutic hours, by participating in the educational program and completing an online evaluation.
